Statistical analysis of medical studies with the program package IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows
SPSS Course
We offer the SPSS course in digital form as an online seminar via Zoom ("live and 'unlimited' quota of seats" on your own computer, no course recording, a maximum of one day of absence is allowed for successful participation). The updated course materials will be made available for download to registered participants (see below) at the beginning of each course. We will inform you about the dates and details on our homepage under Teaching or separately by e-mail.
If you have any questions about our teaching offers, please use the contact form to send them to the institute's teaching coordinator.
Course objective
Practical exercises on the computer should enable you to record your data and to carry out simple evaluations yourself, since our institute cannot do this work for you. If you have problems with the content, you can receive statistical advice.
Target groups
The SPSS course is aimed at students of human and dental medicine at the University of Cologne as well as employees of the University Hospital Cologne and offers an introduction to the use of the statistical package IBM SPSS® Statistics for Windows.
Doctoral students can also take this elective course as a key qualification course in Module II of the Graduate School of Human and Dental Medicine (GSHZ) of the Medical Faculty of the UoC. There is no examination, a maximum of one day of absence is allowed for successful participation.
Please note:
Prerequisites for participation in the course and registration
